How to build holiday offers that sell themselves
During the holidays, people buy convenience and value. How to build a holiday bundle that almost sells itself, and how to promote it on Google, Meta, and TikTok.
The holiday season is one of the most important times of the year for online stores and service businesses alike. You sell more, and someone who buys a gift from you now may come back after the holidays.
We run performance campaigns on Google Ads, Meta Ads, and TikTok Ads, and experience tells us that budget and settings can’t rescue a weak offer. The quality of the offer matters just as much: a well-designed holiday bundle almost sells itself.
Here’s how to build a holiday offer that’s hard to turn down, step by step.
1. What gift buyers actually want
To sell during the holidays, you need to understand how the buyer thinks. In other words, you need to solve their “gift dilemma.”
At this time of year, people have two big needs:
- Convenience: buying and giving gifts should be easy. December is a race against the clock. Nobody wants to spend hours hunting for the perfect gift or wrapping it. People look for things that are “ready to give.” A nicely packaged bundle with fast delivery, which spares the customer from figuring out which products go together, answers exactly that need. What you’re really selling is time saved.
- High value: they want to feel they made a smart buy. People spend more during the holidays, but they want to feel they chose wisely. For them, the right combination of products counts for more than the lowest price. A bundle with a bonus product or a seasonal exclusive makes the price feel small next to everything they get. That lifts both sales and customer satisfaction.
2. What a hard-to-refuse holiday bundle looks like
An effective bundle has three parts. The first is the core product: the anchor of the bundle, the thing the customer wants anyway. In a skincare set, for example, that would be the basics: day cream and night cream.
Next comes the complementary product. It completes or enhances what the core product does. An eye serum or a face mask from the same range turns an ordinary set into a full routine, with more value.
Finally, and essential in gift season, comes the holiday perk. It turns the bundle from a simple offer into a gift that feels special. It should be something unique to the holidays, with extra emotional or practical value.
The ground rule: the value of the products bought separately must be clearly higher than the price of the bundle. That way, the customer feels they got a good deal.
3. How to promote it online
A good bundle only sells if it reaches the right people. Here’s how to use the main channels in December.
Google Ads is where you capture immediate intent. Focus on well-targeted Search campaigns that show up right when people decide (for example, when someone searches “corporate gifts for men” or “buy Christmas gift set”). And make sure your bundles stand out in Performance Max and Shopping, with the discount or the bundle’s value clearly visible.
On Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram), the main goal is to spark desire and build an emotional connection. Tell stories with images and use dynamic catalog ads (Advantage+ catalog ads) so your products stay on the minds of people who have already engaged with your brand. You can bring them back with a festive hook: an exclusive gift with every order. The Collection format works well to show your bundle as a premium collection.
TikTok Ads is the platform where a good video can spread fast, without a big production budget. Make short clips that look like the rest of the content in the feed and show how the bundle brings joy or solves a problem. Working with creators adds authenticity, and offers with a visible countdown or “last chance” messages add urgency.
The bundle is just the start
A good holiday bundle starts from how people buy gifts, not from a discount thrown together at the last minute. Then comes the campaign work: the bundle has to appear in front of people looking for gifts while they’re still looking.
