From broken tracking to a ROAS of 16 in one month
We fixed conversion tracking, rebuilt the campaigns, and kept spend almost flat. Part of the jump comes from the tracking fix.
The short version
What we found and what we changed
The situation
In February 2025, the account ran at a ROAS of 0.39: for every €100 spent on ads, €39 came back in sales. The goal was to make the ads profitable without a significant budget increase.
What we did
- Search for existing demand, Brand Protect on the store’s name, and Performance Max to scale.
- Conversions and their value, tracked correctly.
- Campaigns resegmented by shopper behavior and by the products with the most potential.
- Clearer visuals and product pages, built together with the client.

The client runs an online store for dietary supplements, natural products, vitamins, minerals, and accessories for people undergoing cancer treatment. Ads in this category have to be written carefully, and people only buy from a store they trust.
In February 2025, the Google Ads account had a ROAS of 39.09%: for every €100 spent on ads, €39 came back in sales. The client wanted the ads to become profitable without raising the budget much.
What we changed
We rebuilt the campaign structure:
- Search, for people already looking for the products;
- Brand Protect, for searches on the store’s name;
- Performance Max, to grow volume.
Then we fixed tracking: conversions and their value weren’t being recorded correctly, so Google was bidding on bad data.
We split the campaigns by shopper behavior and by the best-selling products, so the budget went where it brought in orders. At the same time, we worked with the client on images and product pages to make the offers clearer.
What happened in March 2025
- ROAS: from 39.09% to 1,626.92%;
- conversion value: from €483 to €23,077 (+4,673%, measured in RON);
- ad spend: from €1,237 to €1,418 (+14.7%).

In February, conversions were recorded incorrectly, so part of the jump comes from fixing tracking, not only from the campaigns. In the Google Ads screenshot, ROAS for March 10–31, 2025, is 1,627.07%, versus 39.09% in the previous period.
